The journey of the BNP government started with treason with the July Charter and the desire for a coup, said Sarjis Alam, the northern chief organizer of The National Citizens Party (NCP). He said this in a post on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday (February 17).

It is worth noting that Sarjis Alam lost from Panchagarh-1 constituency in the 13th National Parliament election.

Originally, BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed addressed the party MPs before the oath-taking ceremony of the elected members of parliament of the BNP at the Parliament building. He said that they are not taking the oath of the Constitutional Reform Council today.

Salahuddin Ahmed, holding two forms in his hand, white and blue, said, none of us have been elected members of the Constitutional Reform Council and this has not been enshrined in the constitution yet. If the Constitutional Reform Council is formed according to the referendum verdict, it must be included in the constitution first and provision must be made for who will take the oath of office for the members of the Constitutional Reform Council.

Such forms will be included in the Third Schedule of the constitution. After they are constitutionally adopted in parliament, provision can be made for the oath of office for the members of the Constitutional Reform Council. We have followed the constitution so far. I hope we will continue in the coming days as well, he mentioned.

Salahuddin Ahmed said, I informed our party decision in the presence of the Honorable Chairman on his instructions.
