Abul Khair Bhuiyan is contesting from the Lakshmipur-2 (part of Raipur and Sadar) constituency from BNP in the 13th National Parliament election.

A review of the affidavit submitted with the nomination paper shows that his annual income from various sectors is 16 lakh 50 thousand 200 taka. A housewife by profession, his wife's movable and immovable assets are almost double that of Khair.

According to the affidavit, Abul Khair Bhuiyan is 65 years old. Educational qualification BA/B.Ed. Three-time former MP from Lakshmipur-2 constituency. BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia was elected from this constituency twice. When she vacated the seat, Khair Bhuiyan was elected in the by-election.

He is currently serving as the advisor to the BNP Chairperson. Abul Khair Bhuiyan had 11 cases in his name. However, he was acquitted in all of them.

Assets in the name of his wife: It is known from the affidavit that Abul Khair Bhuiyan's wife, Roshan Ara Begum, has non-agricultural land worth 1 crore 37 lakh 31 thousand 160 taka. There are buildings worth 1 crore 34 lakh 45 thousand 800 taka. There is 20 tolas of gold. There is cash of 15 lakh 66 thousand 145 taka. There are clothes worth 2 lakh 96 thousand 897 taka in three banks. There are electronic products worth 50 thousand taka and furniture worth 50 thousand taka. The original assets at the time of acquisition are 1 crore 37 lakh 31 thousand 160 taka.

According to the affidavit, Khair Bhuiyan has a car worth 63 lakh 25 thousand 616 taka. There is non-agricultural land worth 66 lakh 6 thousand 580 taka. There are shares worth 1 lakh 50 thousand taka. There are one lakh electronic products and one lakh furniture. There are 21 thousand 295 taka firearms. The dependents receive 10 lakh 47 thousand 32 taka rent from the house and immovable property.

It is mentioned in the affidavit, Khair Bhuiyan has 5 lakh 98 thousand 895 taka deposited in his bank account. There is 47 lakh 42 thousand 902 taka in cash. The annual income of the dependents is shown as 5 lakh 27 thousand 50 taka. The dependents have 13 lakh 31 thousand 988 taka liabilities.
