


The Meteorological Department has forecast a Kalbaishakhi storm in seven regions, including Dhaka, on Tuesday (May 5) with a chance of rain and thunderstorms.
According to the latest forecast, temporary gusty or squally winds may blow from the west or northwest over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Tangail, Faridpur, Khulna, Barisal and Sylhet. Wind speeds could reach 45 to 60 kilometers per hour. River ports in these areas have been advised to display warning signal number 1.
The 7:00 am bulletin said the sky may remain cloudy in Dhaka and nearby areas until 1:00 pm, with possible rain or thunderstorms. Daytime temperatures may drop slightly as a result.
At 6:00 am today, Dhaka’s temperature was recorded at 24.2°C.
Sunset in the capital is expected at 6:30 pm today, while sunrise tomorrow will be at 5:21 am.
