Rainfall is expected to continue across Bangladesh over the next five days as the monsoon remains active, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

The Met Office predicts light to moderate rain and thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds and lightning, across many parts of the Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions. Similar conditions are expected in a few areas of the Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions. Rangpur and Sylhet may also experience moderately heavy to heavy rainfall in certain areas.

Meanwhile, a mild heatwave currently sweeping through the Rajshahi, Pabna, and Jashore districts is likely to continue. Both day and night temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged across the country.Meteorologists noted that a trough persists from Gangetic West Bengal to the Northwest Bay. The monsoon remains fairly active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate elsewhere over the North Bay.
