The government has accepted the resignations of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Mohammad Abdul Momen and commissioners Mian Muhammad Ali Akbar Azizi and retired Brigadier General Hafiz Ahsan Farid.
In a gazette issued on Tuesday (March 3), the Cabinet Division said the President approved their resignations under the Anti-Corruption Commission Act. The order also grants them one month’s leave salary.
Momen spoke to reporters at the ACC headquarters in Segunbagicha after submitting his resignation to the Cabinet Division on Tuesday afternoon.
“We have formally resigned. The letters have been sent to the Cabinet Secretary,” he said.
The current commission was appointed in December 2024 by the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus. The three officials stepped down around 15 months after taking office.
