


The Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Yao Wen, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Monday at the Cabinet Division in the Bangladesh Secretariat, officials said.
The meeting, held around 11:00 am, focused on bilateral issues between Bangladesh and China. During the visit, the envoy congratulated the Prime Minister on his assumption of office and presented a bouquet.
Humayun Kabir, adviser to the Prime Minister and BNP Joint Secretary General, was also present.
After the diplomatic meeting, the Prime Minister presided over a session on the launch of the Farmers’ Card at the Cabinet Division conference room.
