


The winning party BNP in the 13th parliamentary election has called a parliamentary party meeting. The meeting will be held after the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected members of the National Assembly.
This information was given by BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed on Monday (February 16). He said that the parliamentary party meeting will be held at the Parliament House at 11:30 am on Tuesday (February 17) morning after the oath-taking ceremony.
Salahuddin Ahmed said, "The parliamentary party leader will be elected in this parliamentary party meeting. BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman will be the Prime Minister as the leader of the majority party, God willing."
Earlier, the 13th National Assembly election and referendum were held on Thursday (February 12). The Election Commission (EC) published the gazette of the winners of 297 out of 299 seats on Friday (February 13) night.
Meanwhile, 297 newly elected members of parliament will take oath at 10 am on Tuesday. They will be sworn in by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin. After the oath-taking of the members of parliament, the new government's cabinet will be sworn in at the South Plaza in the parliament in the afternoon.
