One of the floating terminals for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) has been temporarily closed due to maintenance work. Due to the closure of one of the terminals, the supply of gas from LNG to the national grid has significantly decreased. As a result, there has been a severe low pressure in gas supply across the area affiliated to Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution PLC.

Titas gave this information in a press release sent on Sunday (February 15). Titas Gas authorities said that due to this situation, gas pressure will be low at all categories of consumers including residential, commercial, and industrial. This situation of low gas pressure may continue till 12 midnight on February 16.

The concerned parties fear that due to low gas pressure, production in cooking and industrial plants may be disrupted. Many consumers, especially in residential areas, are facing difficulties in lighting stoves.

In this regard, the Titas Gas authorities said in a release that the supply will gradually return to normal after the maintenance work of the LNG terminal is completed. Titas Gas authorities have expressed their sincere apologies to customers for this temporary inconvenience.
