Gas supply will remain suspended for 10 hours across several key areas of the capital on Thursday for emergency pipeline repairs the state-owned distributor Titas Gas announced in a notice on Wednesday.

All categories of customers including residential households, commercial establishments and CNG refueling stations will face a complete shutdown from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.

The affected locations include Agargaon, the western sections of Taltola, Shewrapara, Kazipara, and Mirpur-10, along with Mirpur-1, Paikpara, Shyamoli, Mirpur 60 Feet, Pirerbagh, and the right side of the main road stretching from Kallyanpur to Mirpur-1. Neighboring areas may also experience low gas pressure throughout the maintenance window.

Titas Gas expressed regret to consumers for the temporary disruption. Frequent pipeline leaks and repair work have repeatedly disrupted gas distribution across Mirpur and adjacent neighborhoods. According to utility data the old and deteriorating underground pipes have also allowed water ingress during low-pressure periods, aggravating overall supply deficits across the city.
