Six family members sustain burn injuries in a blast in Dhaka caused by a 'gas leak'.

An explosion occurred at a house in the Agargaon area of the capital. Six family members sustained injuries.

The injured individuals were taken to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Saturday morning.

The injured are Md. Jalil Mia (50), Aneja Begum (40), Asif Mia (19), Shakib Mia (16), Monira (17), and Eva (6). Afran Mia, the daughter-in-law of the injured, stated, "My father-in-law Jalil Mia lives with his family in a house next to the left side of the Pak Market Islamic Foundation in Agargaon. A gas line exploded around 4am this morning. There were six family members present.

After we received the news, we took them to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital at 8am. They are currently receiving treatment in the burn unit. Md. Faruk, the in-charge of the Dhaka Hospital police camp, mentioned that six individuals, including women and children, were brought to the burn unit from Agargaon this morning. They are currently undergoing dressing.

Therefore, it is not possible to determine the level of intoxication at this moment. We have informed the relevant police station about the incident.
