Customers across the Titas Gas distribution network are experiencing low gas pressure until Friday morning due to a significant reduction in the supply of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).

Titas Gas issued an emergency message on Thursday, attributing the decrease in gas supply to "urgent maintenance work" being carried out at an LNG terminal. This issue is expected to persist, affecting all customer segments within Titas Gas-affiliated areas until 6:00 AM on Friday.

Petrobangla Director (Operations), Md Rafiqul Islam, provided further clarification, stating that one of the LNG terminals is undergoing 18 hours of maintenance. This work has resulted in a substantial reduction of the national gas supply by approximately 250 million cubic feet (MMcf). The maintenance is anticipated to conclude by midnight.

Currently, Petrobangla maintains a daily gas supply of around 900 million cubic feet (MMcf), sourced from two floating LNG terminals located at sea.
