BJP Leads in West Bengal Alliance Shifts in Southern States

According to the latest available data, India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading in West Bengal with the highest number of seats.

Indian media NDTV reports that BJP is ahead in 169 seats, while the Trinamool Congress has secured 109 seats so far.

Full results are expected to be announced by 12:00 pm local time.

In other states, BJP is also leading in Assam. In Tamil Nadu, the DMK–Congress alliance is ahead, while in Kerala, the Congress-led alliance is leading.

In Assam’s 126-seat assembly, BJP is leading in 94 seats, Congress in 24, and AIUDF in one seat, according to early trends.
