Megastar Amitabh Bachchan took to his personal blog to share a deeply moving review of the upcoming war drama Ikkis, starring his grandson Agastya Nanda. In a heartfelt post, the veteran actor journeyed down memory lane, recalling the moment he held Agastya as a newborn and watched him grow into an actor.
Amitabh lauded Agastya’s "unfiltered honesty" and "maturity" in portraying Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India's youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient.
The "Big B" clarified that his praise came not from a doting grandfather, but as a "hardened viewer of cinema," calling the Sriram Raghavan directorial flawless. Ikkis tells the heroic story of the 21-year-old soldier who died during the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
The film, which also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Dharmendra, is now scheduled for a theatrical release on January 1, 2026, following a slight delay from its original Christmas date.
