Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is set to marry for the third time. The 61-year-old actor, affectionately known as 'Mr. Perfectionist', has officially confirmed he will tie the knot with his partner, Gauri Spratt, on July 5.

Speaking to Variety India from the United States, Aamir put recent rumors to rest, stating: "The news of the wedding is true. It is on July 5."

While Aamir mentioned in an interview last year that marriage wasn't an urgent priority since they were already living together happily, he explained their recent change of heart: "Yes, that was true. But now we both feel we are ready to take our relationship to the next level."

Describing their strong bond, the actor said, "I am very peaceful now. Gauri and I are very sincere towards each other, and our relationship is strong. We are companions. In my heart, I already consider us married. Formalizing our relationship just feels like a natural progression of our partnership."

Aamir and Gauri's connection goes back a long way. Though they have known each other for over 25 years, they reconnected and began dating over two years ago. Originally from Bengaluru, Gauri is a mother to a young son from a previous marriage and currently works with Aamir Khan Productions.

In his personal life, Aamir was previously married to Reena Dutta from 1986 to 2002. They share two children, Junaid and Ira Khan. He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005, with whom he shares a son, Azad. After 15 years together, Aamir and Kiran announced their amicable separation in 2021. The actor continues to share a warm co-parenting relationship with both of his former wives.
