Bagerhat DC Holds View-Exchange Meeting on Education and Development in Morelganj

Bagerhat Deputy Commissioner (DC) Golam Md. Baten held a view-exchange meeting on Tuesday afternoon to address the local education system, ongoing development projects, and social issues in Morelganj upazila.

The meeting, moderated by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Habibullah, took place at 5:00 PM and brought together upazila officials, heads of local educational institutions, and journalists.

Key speakers included Assistant Commissioner (Land) Atish Sarkar, Upazila Engineer Md. Ariful Islam, and Morelganj Press Club President Mashiur Rahman Masum. Prominent educators, including Principal Maulana Abdus Salam and Head Teacher Lipika Rani, alongside Md. Yunus Ali Akon and Manjurul Karim, also joined the discussion to outline strategies for regional improvement.

Following the dialogue, DC Baten distributed sports equipment to several educational institutions. Prioritizing community support, he also handed over dry food and financial assistance checks to six businessmen who recently lost property to a fire in the Badsharhat area. Earlier in the day, the Deputy Commissioner led a tree plantation drive on the Upazila Parishad premises.
