Police recovered the body of a 26-year-old woman, Rinku Sardar, from a cowshed in Uttar Bainbaria village under Garikhali Union in Paikgachha early Friday (July 3).

Rinku, the wife of Ribaran Sardar, was discovered by her mother-in-law at approximately 6:00 a.m. when she went to tend to the cattle. According to local sources, she was found hanging by a rope. Neighbors responded to the mother-in-law's cries, brought the body down, and called a local village doctor, who pronounced Rinku dead.

Paikgachha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Golam Kibria stated that police reached the scene immediately after being informed by local UP members. Officers prepared an initial inquest report and are sending the body to the Khulna Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

While police suspect suicide, no note was found at the scene. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death, including the possibility of a family dispute.

An unnatural death (UD) case is currently being filed at the Paikgachha police station. Further legal action will depend on the findings of the autopsy report.
