7-Year-Old Boy Dies of Electrocution in Paikgachha

A 7-year-old boy died from electrocution in Haria village of Paikgachha upazila on Wednesday (July 1).

The victim, Obaidullah, was the son of local farmer Md. Rafiqul Sardar.

According to his family, the child was electrocuted around noon while trying to switch on a water pump motor at their home. Relatives rushed him to the Paikgachha Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead at 1:40 pm.

Police have been informed and are taking the necessary legal steps. The child's body is currently being held at the health complex.
