


Four people died early Tuesday when a pickup truck collided with a parked truck on the Sakhipur-Sagardighi road in Tangail.
The accident occurred around 4:00 a.m. in the Kalia Ghonarchala area of Sakhipur upazila. According to local police, a pickup transporting chickens crashed into the back of a stationary truck loaded with bamboo. The impact crushed the front of the pickup, killing all four of its occupants on the spot.
Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Md. Al Mamun confirmed the incident, stating that police recovered the bodies and brought them to the Sakhipur police station. Authorities are currently working to identify the victims and contact their families.
"The bodies will be handed over to their relatives once the legal procedures are completed," ASI Mamun said.
Traffic on the highway was briefly disrupted following the crash but has since returned to normal.
