


Md. Arif Uddin a prominent journalist from Gaibandha, has received the Best Correspondent Crest on the 30th anniversary of the Rangpur-based daily newspaper, Daily Akhira.
The award was presented during a discussion and anniversary ceremony held on Saturday afternoon at the Rangpur Chamber of Commerce auditorium. Member of Parliament for the reserved women's seat, Advocate Rezeka Sultana Fency, handed over the crest of honor to Arif Uddin, who serves as the Gaibandha District Correspondent for Daily Akhira and the Palashbari Upazila Correspondent for Daily Ameer Somoy.
Professor Shah Alam of Rangpur Carmichael College, former VP Alauddin Mia, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Rangpur Metropolitan Police) Nazir Hossain, Daily Akhira Editor and Publisher Machud-ur Rahman Milu, and Executive Editor Nurunnahar Machud Seema were present at the event, among other local dignitaries.
Notably, Arif Uddin previously received the Best Journalism Honor Crest during Daily Akhira’s silver jubilee celebration in 2021 for his impactful reporting.
