Diesel Sale Supervised for Farmers in Porsha

In a bid to safeguard Boro paddy cultivation, Porsha Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rakibul Islam is personally supervising the distribution of diesel among farmers in Nitpur Union.

Under the motto "Save Agriculture, Save Farmers," the UNO initiated this special arrangement following discussions with higher authorities. As Boro crops approach the ripening stage, the demand for irrigation has surged across the upazila.

Nitpur Union, the hub of Porsha’s Boro cultivation, lacks an electricity-powered irrigation system, making diesel-operated machines essential. To ensure an orderly supply, the upazila administration has established a dedicated "Nitpur UP Filling Point" at the Kopalir intersection.

To prevent mismanagement, diesel is being distributed through the fuel management app developed by the Naogaon District Administration. UNO Rakibul Islam confirmed that he is supervising the process alongside appointed "Tag Officers" to ensure that fuel reaches genuine farmers and supports a successful harvest.
