Porsha Upazila Primary School Gold Cup Football Begins

The Porsha Upazila-level Primary School Gold Cup Football Tournament 2026 for boys and girls was inaugurated on Sunday in Naogaon.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rakibul Islam officially opened the tournament at Kalinagar Government Primary School .

Among others present were Upazila Primary Education Officer Sajjad Hossain, Assistant Primary Education Officer Zainul Abedin, Bangladesh Primary Teachers Association (Porsha Upazila unit) President Asfakul Asekin, General Secretary Abdur Raich Uddin, Organising Secretary Rabiul Islam, along with head teachers and assistant teachers.

Assistant Primary Education Officer Zainul Abedin said union-level champion teams are competing in the tournament, organised by the Upazila Administration and Primary Education Office.

In the boys’ category, Somnagar Government Primary School Football XI will face Kushumkali Government Primary School Football XI in the final. In the girls’ category, Kalinagar Government Primary School Football XI will play against Shisha Government Primary School Football XI.

The finals will be held on Monday afternoon at the same venue, followed by prize distribution.
