The Bangladesh Press Council organized a seminar in Faridpur.

A seminar titled “Prevention of Misjournalism and Presentation of Objective News” was held at the Faridpur Deputy Commissioner's conference room on Wednesday.

Organized by the Bangladesh Press Council, the event brought together local journalists from print and electronic media to discuss professional ethics and the media's role in society.

Justice AKM Abdul Hakim, Chairman of the Bangladesh Press Council, attended as the chief guest. He was joined by Faridpur Superintendent of Police Md. Nazrul Islam and Press Council Secretary Md. Abdus Sabur.

During the session, speakers highlighted that responsible journalism is essential for good governance and a strong democracy. They urged journalists to strictly follow ethical guidelines to stop the spread of misinformation and ensure that news remains accurate and public-focused.

The event, held under the supervision of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and supported by the Faridpur District Administration, concluded with an interactive discussion where local media professionals shared views on improving reporting standards.
