A case has been filed following the killing of a father, son, and another individual in Barukula village, Narail Sadar Upazila. The incident, which occurred on Monday morning, is linked to a long-standing dispute over local dominance.

The case was officially registered at Narail Sadar Police Station at 12:15 AM on Wednesday. Rubel Sheikh, son of the deceased Khalil Sheikh, is the plaintiff. The complaint names 69 individuals and includes another 40–45 unidentified suspects.

The violence erupted when two rival groups clashed on Monday. Four people—Khalil Sheikh, his son Tahazzat, and Ferdaus from one side, and Tasikur Fakir from the opposing side—were killed by gunfire. As of Wednesday, no counter-case has been filed regarding the death of Tasikur Fakir.

Narail Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Oli Mia stated that a special police operation is underway to apprehend the suspects. Seven individuals have been arrested so far. Police have withheld the names of the detainees to avoid compromising the ongoing investigation and the pursuit of remaining suspects.
