Mobile Court Cracks Down on Illegal Sand Mining and Traffic Violations in Kaliganj

The upazila administration has conducted a mobile court against illegal sand extraction and road safety law violations in Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat.

On Sunday (February 1) afternoon, a drive was conducted in the Dakshin Ghanshyam area of ​​the upazila on charges of illegal sand extraction. During this time, various machines used for sand extraction were rendered useless. As a result, the ongoing illegal sand extraction activities in that area were stopped.

On the same day, a separate drive was conducted in the Tushbhandar Captain More Bazar area of ​​the upazila to ensure road safety. During the drive, 9 drivers were fined through a mobile court for riding motorcycles without helmets and valid documents.

The mobile court was conducted by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Shahid Ishraq. During the campaign, he said that the upazila administration will continue such campaigns regularly against illegal sand mining and violations of road safety laws.
