Training workshop titled “Agricultural Research and Youth Ideas” in Bari

As part of the celebration of “Youth Festival-2025”, a training workshop titled “Agricultural Research and Youth Ideas” was held for youth at the Kazi Badruddoja Auditorium of the Institute on 28 December 2025, at the initiative of the Training and Communication Wing of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI). Students of Bari High School, young agricultural entrepreneurs and various stakeholders related to agriculture participated in the program.

The training workshop was held under the chairmanship of BARI Director (Training and Communication) Dr. Muhammad Ataur Rahman. BARI Director (Services and Supply) Dr. Ashraf Uddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest. BARI Director (Horticulture Research Center) Dr. Faruk Ahmed was present as the special guest.

In addition, the heads of departments and senior scientists of various centers/divisions/branches of BARI were present. The program was coordinated by Senior Scientific Officer (Training and Communication Wing) Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman.

In the training workshop, training was provided on various improved varieties, modern cultivation methods, environment-friendly agricultural technologies and exportable agricultural products developed by BARI. The organizing authority expressed the hope that this program would create interest in agriculture among the youth and help in developing agriculture-based entrepreneurs.
