Inauguration of internal Aman paddy-rice procurement in Sariakandi

The internal Aman paddy-rice procurement for the 2025-2026 fiscal year has been inaugurated in Sariakandi. Upazila Executive Officer Sibbir Ahmed inaugurated the paddy-rice procurement on Thursday morning, November 27.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) Atiqur Rahman, Upazila Agriculture Officer Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Upazila Food Controller Mohammad Abu Samrat Khan, Officer-in-Charge of Food Warehouse (OC LSD) Rashedul Islam, Upazila Rice Mill Owner President Mozammel Haque, General Secretary Nurul Islam and journalists were present at the time.

The target level of paddy procurement in this fiscal year has been set at 138 million tons. The price of paddy per kg has been set at 34 taka. The target level of rice procurement has been set at 648 million tons. The price per kg has been set at 50 taka.
