Internal paddy and rice procurement has been inaugurated in Porsha, Naogaon. It was inaugurated by UNO Rakibul Islam at the Nitpur food warehouse on Monday afternoon at the Upazila Food Controller Office.
Upazila Agriculture Officer Mamunur Rashid, Food Controller Aminul Kabir, Project Implementation Officer Mahmudul Haque Titu, OCLSD Riazul Haque, Social Service Officer Shahidul Islam, Upazila Rice Mill owner and other concerned officers and employees were present.
The concerned officials said that this time 525 metric tons of rice at 50 taka per kg and 136 metric tons of paddy at 34 taka per kg will be purchased through the two food warehouses of the upazila.
