


Upazila authorities launched an eviction drive on Wednesday to remove illegally constructed establishments in Madhukhali municipality, Faridpur. The operation began at 10 a.m. in the Morich Bazar area and continued throughout the day at several locations including the Madhukhali Rail Gate and both sides of the Dhaka-Khulna Highway within the municipal area.
The drive targeted illegal structures and encroachments built on government and municipal land. It was led by Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Md. Masudur Rahman along with Assistant Commissioner (Land) Pratik Dutta.
Also present during the operation were Madhukhali Police Station Officer-in-Charge Sukdev Roy, Sub-Inspector Abdul Halim, Municipality Deputy Assistant Engineer Md. Barkat Ali, Accountant Md. Rajib Hasan, License Inspector Habibul Bashar Sumon and Conservancy Inspector Rafiqul Islam along with members of the police and Ansar forces.
According to the upazila administration, such drives will continue against illegal structures that obstruct public movement or encroach on government and municipal land in the area.
