


The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has finalized a two-day schedule to observe Independence Day. The details were confirmed in a press release issued on Wednesday, March 25.
The programs will begin at 6:00 am on Thursday, March 26, with the hoisting of the national and party flags at the BNP central office in Nayapaltan and other offices nationwide. Following the official tributes by the President and Prime Minister, BNP leaders and activists will visit the National Memorial in Savar to honor the martyrs of the Liberation War.
Later that day, party members will return to Dhaka to offer wreaths and prayers (Fateha) at the mausoleum of former President Ziaur Rahman. The Nationalist Ulema Party is also scheduled to hold a prayer session (doa mahfil) at the site.
On Friday, March 27, the party will host a discussion meeting at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) auditorium in Ramna at 2:30 pm. BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will attend as the chief guest, with Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir presiding over the event.
