Jamaat Ameer is deeply shocked by the casualties from the earthquake.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has expressed deep shock and sadness over the casualties from the earthquake that struck Dhaka and other areas of the country this morning.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman extended heartfelt condolences to the grieving families and prayed for the souls of the deceased.

He urged the authorities to provide adequate medical care for the injured and compensation for the victims, while also wishing for a quick recovery for those affected.

The Jamaat Ameer emphasized the importance of strict oversight to ensure that tall buildings are built according to the national building code.

In his statement, he also pointed out that it is the government's duty to raise public awareness to reduce losses during earthquakes and other natural disasters.
