


State Minister for Land and Chittagong Hill Tracts Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin stated that government employees must remember they are public servants while the citizens are the true owners of the republic.
He made these remarks on Sunday afternoon during a flood relief distribution program organized by the Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) at the West Banshkhali Coastal Degree College ground.
"We often forget this when we assume office, but we are only servants of the people," Mir Helal said. He emphasized that this mindset aligns with the clear directives of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. Upon taking office on February 12, 2026, the Prime Minister instructed all state officials, ministers, and political leaders to prioritize public service above all else.
The State Minister also commended ZRF for its ongoing humanitarian efforts, noting that the organization has historically stood by the people regardless of who is in power.
To aid in post-flood rehabilitation the ZRF distributed corrugated tin cash assistance cattle fodder vitamin premixes and essential medicines to affected farmers and residents in Banshkhali.
The event was attended by ZRF CEO Dr. Farhad Halim Doner National University Pro-VC Dr. Md. Lutfur Rahman Banshkhali Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Ruhul Amin, Assistant Superintendent of Police Mahmudul Hasan and local BNP leaders including Chittagong South District BNP Member Secretary Lion Helal Uddin.
