Bangladesh has reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to United Nations peacekeeping, multilateral diplomacy, and global cooperation. This stance was emphasized during a meeting with a delegation from the US Army War College at the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the UN on Monday, May 11.
Welcoming the delegation, Ambassador Salahuddin Noman Chowdhury, Bangladesh's Permanent Representative to the UN, noted that the nation's deep-rooted engagement with the UN stems from its constitutional mandate to uphold international peace and security.
As one of the world's leading contributors to UN peacekeeping, Bangladesh continues to deploy personnel who serve with distinction in some of the most volatile regions globally. Ambassador Chowdhury highlighted the mission’s ongoing efforts to champion sustainable development, women’s empowerment, and climate justice.
Concluding the session, the Ambassador stressed that dialogue and consensus remain the only viable paths to addressing modern global challenges and strengthening international partnerships.
