Seaports Asked to Hoist Local Cautionary Signal 3

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has instructed the maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra to hoist local cautionary signal number 3.

According to a notification issued Tuesday morning by meteorologist Md. Shahinul Islam, a steep pressure gradient persists over the North Bay and adjacent areas. Squally weather may affect the maritime ports, North Bay, and coastal areas of Bangladesh.

All fishing boats and trawlers operating in the North Bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
