The Ministry of Youth and Sports has issued a firm reminder to all officials and staff regarding mandatory office presence and energy conservation. The notice, signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Mosa. Tania Ferdous on Thursday (April 2), emphasizes that all employees must be at their desks between 9:00 AM and 9:40 AM daily.

This directive follows observations of non-compliance with earlier instructions from the Cabinet Division. To ensure productivity, officials are advised not to schedule meetings or external programs during this morning window. Key Guidelines for Government Offices:

1. Energy Conservation

Natural Light: Keep windows and blinds open during the day to minimize the use of electric lights.

AC Regulation: Air conditioners must be set to 25°C or higher.

Power Down: All lights, fans, computers, and ACs must be switched off when leaving a room and immediately after office hours.

Corridor Lighting: Avoid unnecessary lighting in hallways, stairs, and washrooms.

2. Cleanliness and Maintenance

Office rooms, corridors, and common areas must be kept clean and tidy.

Regular maintenance of stairs and handrails is required.

3. Monitoring and Enforcement All departments and organizations under the Ministry are directed to form vigilance teams to monitor compliance and ensure these rules are strictly followed.
