Preparations for the Eid-ul-Fitr congregation at the National Eidgah are nearly finished. Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Administrator Md. Abdus Salam confirmed on Monday that the venue is equipped to host 35,000 devotees simultaneously.

Following an inspection of the grounds on Monday morning, the Administrator assured that comprehensive security measures are in place, including specialized protocols for the Prime Minister’s attendance.

The National Eidgah layout includes a VIP block with a capacity for 250 men and 80 women. To ensure comfort and hygiene, the DSCC has installed adequate lighting, fans, and mobile toilets. Medical teams will also be stationed on-site to provide first aid. Additionally, the Administrator noted that the venue has been weather-proofed to accommodate worshippers even in the event of rain.
