Family Card Pilot Program to Launch March 10

Family card to be launched on March 10, card-holding families will receive Tk 2,500. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the pilot program for distributing family cards on March 10, Social Welfare Minister Abu Zafar Mohammad Zahid Hossain said.

Initially, everyone in one ward of one union in each of the 14 upazilas will receive family cards. The minister also said that each family will be given Tk 2,500 under this card.

The minister gave this information to reporters after a meeting on family cards at the Secretariat on Tuesday (February 24). Prime Minister Tarique Rahman presided over the meeting.
