Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin will address the nation on Wednesday, February 11, just one day before the 13th National Parliamentary Election.

The Election Commission (EC) confirmed the schedule on Tuesday, noting that the speech will be recorded this evening. The address is set to be broadcast on Wednesday across all major media outlets, including Bangladesh Television (BTV) and Bangladesh Betar.

The CEC is expected to provide a final briefing on the nation's readiness for the polls. Sources within the EC indicate the speech will focus on Encouraging citizens to cast their ballots without fear. Outlining the role of the joint forces currently deployed nationwide. Highlighting measures taken to ensure a fair and credible electoral process.

This Thursday, February 12, marks a significant milestone as Bangladeshis will participate in both the parliamentary elections and a national referendum. The referendum seeks public mandate on the implementation of the aspirations stemming from the July Revolution.

The CEC last addressed the nation on December 11, 2024, to announce the official election roadmap. With joint forces already patrolling constituencies, the commission aims to ensure maximum transparency on election day.
