The Chief Adviser, Professor Muhammad Yunus, today called upon the armed forces, police, and all other law enforcement agencies to extend their support for the upcoming national elections, which he announced are scheduled for the first half of February.

Speaking at the certificate distribution ceremony for the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) Course-2025 at Mirpur Cantonment, the Chief Adviser emphasized that the election is a major undertaking—a transition "coming from an uprising" and moving toward a poll that must be "peaceful, a kind of celebration, need for happiness and being together." He explicitly stated, "So now is the time for the election," and confirmed the February timeline.

Professor Yunus also used the occasion to commend the graduating officers and the DSCSC institution itself, hailing it as one of the best military institutions both domestically and internationally. He expressed his immense pleasure at attending the ceremony and urged the graduates to use their acquired knowledge for the nation's progress. Furthermore, he noted that the graduates were "lucky to be here in Bangladesh" during a period of "tremendous transition and transformation," as the country is actively "moving to a new Bangladesh."
