9 more die of dengue, 1,902 hospitalized

Nine more people have died of dengue fever across the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 1,902 new dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals.

This information was given in a dengue press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Monday.

The notification said that among the patients admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours, 216 are in Barisal division, 272 in Chittagong division, 401 outside the Dhaka division City Corporation area, 206 in Dhaka North City Corporation and 223 in Dhaka South City Corporation.

Apart from this, 206 people have been admitted to hospitals in Khulna division, 98 in Mymensingh division, 105 in Rajshahi division, 66 in Rangpur division and nine in Sylhet division.

According to the Department of Health, a total of 88,360 people have been hospitalized across the country due to dengue as of October 5 this year. Of these, 83,335 have recovered and been discharged after treatment.

Another 1,988 people have been discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours. A total of 271 people have died from dengue so far this year.
