Russia considers nuclear tests restart: Putin

On Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia would contemplate resuming nuclear tests if the United States were to proceed with such actions. This announcement came during a security council meeting following comments made by US President Donald Trump regarding testing.

Putin instructed Russia's defense and foreign ministries, along with security services, to "collect information on this matter" and to formulate "suggestions for the potential initiation of preparatory work for nuclear weapons tests."
