US President Donald Trump departed from Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Monday at approximately 10:10 AM (0210 GMT), beginning the second leg of his Asia tour.

Air Force One is bound for Tokyo, marking the next stop on a tour that is expected to conclude with a crucial meeting with China's leader, Xi Jinping.

Trump's itinerary includes a meeting with Japan's new Prime Minister, Sanae Takaichi, on Tuesday, followed by high-stakes talks with Xi later in the week.

The text also suggests a possible meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
