


In a major upset during the 13th National Parliamentary Election, independent candidate Rumeen Farhana secured a decisive victory in the Brahmanbaria-2 constituency. Running with the 'Duck' symbol, Farhana defeated her closest rival, Maulana Junaid Al Habib, by a significant margin of over 38,000 votes.
According to unofficial results, Farhana polled 118,547 votes, while Junaid Al Habib, backed by the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and contesting with the 'Date Palm' symbol, received 80,434 votes.

On Friday, February 13, the film star shared a photo with the newly elected MP on her Facebook story, captioned simply with a heartfelt "Congratulations."
