Dhallywood actor Omar Sani has sparked intense social media debate after announcing his support for the "Sheaf of Paddy" (Paddy Sheaf) symbol in the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election.

The actor’s announcement on Facebook drew mixed reactions, with many netizens highlighting the contrasting political history of his wife, actress Moushumi, who previously sought a nomination from the Awami League.

Netizens Question Political Shift In the comments section, followers were quick to remind the actor of his family’s previous ties. One fan asked, "Didn't your wife seek the 'Boat' nomination?" while others suggested Sani himself once had similar aspirations.

In a witty response, Sani humorously dismissed the claims regarding his own ambitions, clarifying that while he respects different views, he personally never sought an Awami League nomination. Supporters of the actor defended him, noting that political preferences are a personal matter and can differ even within the same household. Active Campaigning

Sani’s endorsement follows a recent video message where he campaigned for M. Manjurul Karim Rony, the BNP-nominated candidate for Gazipur-2. In the video, the actor praised Rony’s leadership and expressed hope for his victory in the February 12 polls.

While primarily known for his long film career, Omar Sani frequently engages in social and political commentary, often becoming a trending topic for his candid opinions.
