Bollywood star Bipasha Basu recently joined the viral "2016" social media trend, sharing a nostalgic collection of photos from the year she married actor Karan Singh Grover. The actress posted an Instagram carousel featuring intimate moments from their wedding, beach holidays, and family gatherings.

Choosing Motherhood Over the Limelight Bipasha has been largely absent from the silver screen since her last full-fledged film, Alone (2015). In recent interviews, she explained that her sabbatical was a conscious choice. After marrying in 2016 and welcoming their daughter, Devi Basu Singh Grover, in 2022, she decided to prioritize family.

"When I got married, I definitely stepped back. I wanted to enjoy the perks of all the hard work I had put in since I was 15," Bipasha shared. She noted that while she misses acting, she wants to ensure she is fully present for her daughter’s early years.

A Possible Return to Screen? Although she is in no rush, the "Scream Queen" of Bollywood hinted at a potential comeback, particularly on OTT platforms. She expressed a desire to do "substantial work" that would make her daughter proud. Meanwhile, her husband Karan Singh Grover remains active, recently appearing in the 2024 blockbuster Fighter.

The couple first met on the sets of Alone in 2015 and will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary on April 30, 2026.

Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover married on April 30, 2016. Their daughter, Devi, was born on November 12, 2022. Bipasha’s last major film release was Alone in 2015, followed by the web series Dangerous in 2020.
