Ballots have started reaching various centers across the country for the 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum. By Wednesday (February 11) night, all the necessary voting equipment, including ballot papers and boxes, will reach polling centers outside Dhaka. And ballot boxes will reach major cities including Dhaka this evening.

Then, voting will continue tomorrow, February 12, from 7 am to 4:30 pm. In this election, voters will vote on two ballot papers. One white ballot, this will be the ballot for the election of members of parliament. And the pink ballot will be for the referendum.

The Election Commission said that about 958,000 members of the law enforcement agencies have been deployed across the country on the day of the parliamentary election and referendum.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam also said on Tuesday that security measures have been taken at three levels - central, mobile and striking forces - for the election.

According to him, no one has the power to disrupt the election with such a high level of security. A crime may happen somewhere, a robbery may happen, a murder may happen. But the election cannot be disrupted.

However, he also said that in this election, initially 8,770 polling stations across the country have been identified as highly risky and 16,000 polling stations are considered medium-risk.
