


City Bank has upgraded its digital banking app City Touch by adding artificial intelligence and several new features to make banking simpler and more modern.
The updated app now includes an AI-powered chatbot that answers customer queries in both Bengali and English. Users can also open a new bank account instantly through the app without visiting a branch and eligible customers can apply for digital loans directly.
City Touch now offers a single dashboard to view account balances, cards, loans and investments along with tools for personal finance management to help track daily income and expenses.
Fund transfer options have also expanded. Customers can send money between banks using the National Payment Switch Bangladesh (NPSB), Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) and Bangladesh Electronic Fund Transfer Network (BEFTN). The app also supports bill payments, mobile recharge and QR code payments along with card activation, PIN management and transaction limit changes.
A new rewards program named MyRewards, lets customers earn points on eligible transactions. Users can also request banking services and track their progress within the app.
The app's interface has been redesigned for easier navigation to helping customers quickly find the services they need.
City Bank said the redesign aims to bring everyday banking services onto one platform also making them faster, easier and more customer-focused through greater use of technology. The move reflects a global trend of banks adopting AI and automation to modernize digital services.
City Touch is available on both Android and iOS.
