


The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has increased gold prices in the country's market, raising the price of gold ornaments by up to Tk 5,482 per bhori, including VAT.
The new rates came into effect at 10:00 am on Saturday (June 27). Just two days earlier, on Thursday, BAJUS had reduced gold prices by Tk 2,216 per bhori.
According to BAJUS, the decision was made at a meeting of its Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring.
Under the revised rates, the price of 22-carat gold, including VAT, has been set at Tk 228,556 per bhori, up from Tk 223,074.
