


An LP gas trader was critically injured after a group of unidentified attackers stormed his shop at Dighlia Bazaar in Narail’s Lohagara upazila on Monday (August 3).
The victim Jamal Molya 38 is currently undergoing treatment at Pangu Hospital (National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation) in Dhaka. Originally from Boyra village in the Lakshmipasha union Jamal currently resides in Batikabari.
According to witnesses and family members Jamal was working in his shop around 5:00 PM when the assailants suddenly entered. They indiscriminately hacked him with sharp, locally made weapons before fleeing the scene.
Locals rushed the heavily bleeding victim to the Lohagara Upazila Health Complex. Due to the critical nature of his injuries the on-duty doctors immediately transferred him to Dhaka for advanced care.
Lohagara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Abdur Rahman confirmed that police visited the site shortly after the incident was reported. "We are investigating the motive behind the attack and working to identify the perpetrators. No formal case has been filed yet," he stated.
The violent attack has sparked panic among local traders and residents in Dighlia Bazaar who are demanding the immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of those involved.
