The Kalia upazila administration solemnly observed 'July Martyrs' Day 2026' on Thursday with a commemorative discussion special prayers and a visit to the grave of July fighter Md. Rabiul Islam Limon.

Presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Jinnatul Islam, the memorial meeting was held at the Upazila Parishad conference room. Key attendees included Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sraboni Biswas, police officials from Kalia and Naragati, political leaders, and family members of the July fighters.

Speakers paid deep respect to the martyrs, urging citizens to honor their ultimate sacrifices by contributing responsibly to national development and societal progress. The gathering concluded with special prayers and a munajat seeking peace for the nation and forgiveness for the departed souls.

Following the discussion, administrative officials traveled to Naragati to visit the grave of Md. Rabiul Islam Limon. There, they offered prayers and paid tribute to his bravery and sacrifice during the historic July movement.
