The Kachua Upazila administration organized a discussion meeting and special prayer session on Thursday July 16 to solemnly observe July Martyrs' Day.
Chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Ali Hasan, the event took place at the Upazila Parishad meeting room. The gathering brought together local government officials, political leaders, journalists, and community members to honor those who lost their lives during the historic July uprisings.
During the discussion, speakers commemorated the ultimate sacrifices of the martyrs. Following the talks, a special prayer was offered, seeking eternal peace for the departed souls and a swift recovery for the injured participants, recognized locally as "July Warriors."
To maintain clarity and focus, the extensive list of attendees has been condensed. Prominent figures present included Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Hasib Haider, Kachua Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Harun, Upazila BNP General Secretary S. M. Touhidul Islam, and Upazila Jamaat Ameer Md. Rafiqul Islam. Representatives from the local press, upazila departmental officers, and July Warrior Nazmus Shakib were also in attendance to pay their respects.
